Unlike the usual encrusting mat, this cyphastrea grows upward into short, knobby branches. A cool blue-violet base is packed with hot-pink to magenta polyps, each with a bright glowing center that pops under blue-spectrum lighting. The tightly clustered polyps give the branches a plush, almost floral surface.
