An encrusting monti with a mottled surface of deep plum-purple valleys and raised orange ridges, textured all over with fine bumps. Countless tiny blue polyps dot the whole plate, scattering pinpoint light across the two-tone base. Plates and encrusts flat over the rock, developing its bumpy, tuberculate texture as it spreads.
