About Treasure Corals
We’re a family‑owned coral farm and 3D‑printing reef design studio in Vaughan, Ontario (just north of Toronto). We curate coral lineages, grow them out for months—often years— and only then offer healthy, tank‑ready frags. Our accessories are designed and printed in‑house to make reef‑keeping easier.
Our Story
My name is Dmitry Tumanov and I'm a life-long aquarist. Having kept aquariums for more than 30 years, last 20 I started my first saltwater aquarium and never looked back. The fascination of creating a piece of ocean in my living room has never diminished for me.
I am honoured to be featured in AquaIllumination Signature Series.

And I do run a YouTube channel where I document my coral adventures.
What Makes Us Different
Grown, Not Imported or “Chopped”
We don’t import colonies to slice and flip. Instead, we acquire and quarantine broodstock, then patiently grow stable frags under consistent, reef‑safe conditions. The result: adapted, healed, reliable pieces that settle quickly in home aquariums and support sustainable reefing.
No WYSIWYG—On Purpose
WYSIWYG pushes shops to move freshly cut pieces. That’s not us.
We almost never sell WYSIWYG. Instead, each listing features a Typical‑Frag Photo—a representative frag from that lineage grown in our system—so you know what to expect without incentivizing rushed cuts.
Typical‑Frag Photo Promise
-
You’ll see the kind of frag you’ll receive: comparable size, polyp count, and coloration under our lighting.
-
We photograph under both white and actinic so you can judge the true palette.
-
Natural variation happens—your frag is grown, healed, and ready rather than freshly sliced to match a photo.
(On rare occasions—special colonies or collector pieces—we’ll clearly label an item as WYSIWYG.)
Tank‑Ready by Design
-
Quarantined broodstock and aggressive dipping protocols.
-
Healed frags only—we don’t ship until they’ve fully recovered and are showing stable growth.
-
Data‑driven husbandry: our parameters and lighting are monitored continuously.
Thoughtful 3D‑Printed Gear
From light visors to test‑kit caddies and low‑profile frag racks, our accessories are designed by reefers for reefers, printed locally on reef‑safe filament, and ship across North America and worldwide.
Sharing the Journey
More than a storefront, Treasure Corals is a community hub. On our channel you’ll find behind‑the‑scenes farm tours, coral‑care deep dives, and honest gear reviews—no studio gloss, just real reefing. Subscribe to follow lineages long before frags reach your tank.
Our Lighting & Water Parameters (Powered by AquaticLog)
We also built AquaticLog, the web and mobile app tens of thousands of aquarists use to track parameters, schedule maintenance, and share progress. The same data‑driven approach guides every decision on our farm. [Link this text to your live AquaticLog dashboard.]

Our Promise
Health First. We quarantine new broodstock, dip aggressively, and never ship a frag that isn’t fully healed.
Straight Talk. If a coral is finicky or a product has limitations, we’ll tell you up front—because we’re fellow reefers, not a warehouse.
Community over Competition. Buy from us or elsewhere—we’re here to answer questions, trade knowledge, and help the hobby thrive.

FAQ
How Do You Ship Corals In Canada?
We have put together a handy guide for you describing how we ship corals in Canada.
Why don’t you sell WYSIWYG?
Because WYSIWYG encourages importing corals and introducing pests. Our approach—grow first, sell later—delivers healthier frags and more predictable outcomes.
Will my frag look exactly like the photo?
We show a Typical‑Frag Photo from the same lineage under our lighting. Expect comparable color and size once settled; as always, lighting, nutrients, and flow shape final appearance.
Do you ever offer WYSIWYG?
Rarely. When we do (e.g., a single collector colony), it’s clearly labeled WYSIWYG.
